DAY 4 Christ was born for you.

“And the angel said to them, ‘Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.’”  (Luke 2:10-11)

In the clutter and busyness of what Christmas has become, we often forget this simple truth.  Christ was born for each and everyone of us.  “For unto you is born…”  He was born to be the ultimate gift to mankind.   He accomplished for mankind what we could never accomplish for ourselves.  He is our Savior, Christ, and Lord.

 Infant Holy, Infant Lowly

Infant holy, infant lowly, For His bed a cattle stall;
Oxen lowing, little knowing Christ the babe is Lord of all.
Swiftly winging, angels singing, Bells are ringing, tidings bringing:
Christ the babe is Lord of all! Christ the babe is Lord of all!

Flocks were sleeping, shepherds keeping Vigil till the morning new
Saw the glory, heard the story, Tidings of a Gospel true.
Thus rejoicing, free from sorrow, Praises voicing, greet the morrow:
Christ the babe was born for you! Christ the babe was born for you!
